I got it...it's even more perfect than I imagined!!!!

Becky purchased a guitar urn in memory of her son, Derek.  We worked with her to place 6 different engravings she wanted included on his tribute....his signature, favorite quote and nicknames.

Upon seeing the model we would make for Derek, his father also wanted one for his home.  With kindness, Becky decided to gift his father a guitar urn, and purchased a second memorial for him.

With a sweet gratitude, we loved working to create these special memorials for their son.  We were truly humbled by Becky's thoughtfulness when she left us a glowing Etsy review...actually, prior to us completing the urns! We are forever touched by our experience with Derek's family and the opportunity to honor his beautiful life.

Artists' Thoughts: Butterfly for Baby Vienna

We're sometimes overcome by significance of this memorial art and what it means for others. We take it so seriously, that it has it's moments of overwhelm with our desire to always do our best and meet any expectations the customer has...

...then we stop and take a deep breath.

We reflect on our purpose and give thanks for opportunities... to be a positive force, bringing comfort to others through our work... it's powerful, it's humbling, it's heartbreaking, it's beautifully human... it's love.

From our first communication with the Theriaque Family, we were so touched by their open hearts and kind words....

We worked with them to create a unique butterfly urn to remember their little girl.  They chose design elements that they wanted represented.....the size, positioning, colors and engraving inscription.

The result, a sweet, precious cremation urn for Baby Vienna....

Upon receiving her urn...

...And our hearts are full.

In gratitude ~ MorzArt

The Power of Personalization: Custom Orcas for Arval

For 7 years, Rob worked side-by-side with Sandra in the front lab at Dallas Nephrology Associates. Sandra was his direct supervisor, a mentor, a surrogate mom, and a good friend. During those years, she was a daily source of wisdom, encouragement and humor for him.

Recently, Sandra contacted us and asked for us to create an Orca Whale for her brother, Arval.  He always love Killer Whales and their symbology of family, longevity, harmony, community and protection.

We created a large wall-mounted piece for Arval's wife and family....and a smaller whale memorial for Sandra to keep.  We feel honored to make these pieces for him and their family.

Recently we drove up to Dallas to deliver them to her in person. It has been over 10 years since we moved from Dallas and Rob left his job at DNA.  It was so awesome to see Sandra and her family, have some laughs and catch up on life.

She and her family have started a small business selling handmade soaps, lotions, and other scented oil products.  She treated us to samples of their products and Rob became a big fan of the Whisky Woodshop Beard Oil!  Check out, A Handful of Bubbles....www.ahandfulofbubbles.com

BEYOND AWESOME!!!...Connecting beyond the purchase

When given the opportunity, we love to connect with families.

It is hard to know everything our customers are going through following the death of their loved one. Often, we can only imagine the profound loss they are experiencing. When communicating with customers, we just allow that space to unfold how it needs to for those in mourning.

Sometimes there is no communication beyond the email order, and that's certainly understandable. However, other times we have the chance to connect and collaborate ideas with the customer....we truly value these opportunities. It touches our hearts deeply when we can learn more about who the YURN is remembering.

Recently, we had a wonderful experience getting to know more about Mark through his wife Diane.  She shared photos and opened up to us about the great health challenges he experienced preceding his death....she told us about their 30 year relationship, his love for music, their travels together, their devotion to fostering hundreds of pets through the years, and how she loved to make him laugh.

She wanted his guitar YURN to be a perfect expression of him and her love for him.  We shared with her the different personalizations we could do to make it a unique and special piece.  We added a handwritten note with his frequent "Love you today" sentiment to her...a line from his favorite song along with his signature...her "Eternal Love" expression for him...his name and dates....and even painted it to match his favorite Martin guitar.

To be of service to her is a blessing to us. These opportunities to touch each others lives in a loving and heartfelt way is what it's all about, and we'll remember this connection always.

I felt as though I was not their customer, but a close friend...Five-Star Review

FIVE-STAR REVIEW
"I scoured the internet looking for an urn that would represent my brother who passed away last year. When I saw the guitar Yurn by MorzArt I knew I'd found the one.
Jamaica and Rob were absolutely remarkable. They took one of the hardest things I'll have to do in life and made it so meaningful. From their interest of my wishes in the creation of the Yurn to their eagerness to work with me on payment, Jamaica and Rob showed much kindness and understanding and I felt as though I was not their customer, but a close friend.
When I received the finished Yurn it was 100% as unique as my brother.
Thank you for everything, Jamaica and Rob."  - Lindsay E

Practicing Prototypes: Flying Heart

This Flying Heart YURN is a prototype model that we will be releasing soon. In order to practice our techniques, we created this one for a Facebook friend. She is experiencing the great loss of losing her fiancee just prior to their marriage. Our thoughts are with her in the coming days ahead.

Heart with Wings Wall-Mounted Urn
Facebook Post

I am overwhelmed with comfort and love. There are some who look down on virtual-only friendships. Tonight, though, I've proof to show how wrong they are. Friends I have never met IRL have given me an incredible gift. Jamaica and Rob of MorzArt sent an unexpected package. This gorgeous piece is a deep urn (or as they call it, a Yurn). It will hang on a wall as an urn, a memory box, or simply a beautiful reminder of Keith Johnson's life. I hope that none of you need funerary art for a very long time. But when you do, please look up these fantastic, compassionate artists.

Practicing Prototypes: Angel with Heart

We have been working on prototypes for our new Angel with Heart YURN. The first few casts of a new models is where we work our processes and color finishes. With this model, the angel's dress is the main vessel for cremains placement.

angel urn, heart urn, cremation urn, handmade

This prototype was made with Jamaica's grandmother, Doris, in mind. We personalized this model by engraving her initial "D", along with "Mom" and her grandma name, "Doie".  It won't be used as an cremation urn, but will hang on the tree that she rests under at the cemetery.

Soon we will be perfecting this model, taking pictures, naming it, writing copy and rolling her out into our production line!
