Most urns follow the old “one cubic inch per pound” rule—but that’s a rough estimate rooted in decades past. In reality, cremains volume is about skeletal size, bone density, and how finely the ashes are processed.

Over time we’ve found that 130 cubic inches comfortably handles many adults’ remains. For someone very tall or broad-framed, families sometimes choose to keep a portion, scatter some, or opt for a custom urn with more capacity. We’re always happy to help you pick or design the right size to honor your loved one.

If needed, most local funeral homes will gladly assist you with this process; however, you may need to make arrangements ahead of time.

Each memorial sculpture includes an adequate opening concealed on the back or bottom of the piece, along with a fitted closure hatch cut from the ceramic body.

We recommend keeping the cremains within a plastic bag.

To permanently seal the vessel, apply a thin bead of permanent adhesive (such as super glue or silicone) along the edge of the closure hatch and set it into place.

All wall-mounted YURNS are constructed with a high-temperature wire hanger, kiln-fired and fused into the ceramic body. Each hanging system is tested to support up to 20 pounds of downward force. When selecting a location, use care and caution. Install a 1.5" (or larger) screw directly into a wooden wall stud to ensure proper support. It is essential to drive the screw well into a wooden wall stud for it to hold the weight of the urn when filled. If a stud is not available at your desired location, use a heavy-duty drywall hook (“monkey hook”).

Dust regularly and clean gently with mild soap and water.

While the ceramic material itself can withstand the elements, the surface finish may show signs of wear with prolonged exposure. If displaying your sculpture outdoors, we recommend placing it in a sheltered area, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation.

USPS International delivery typically takes 10–14 days; however, actual delivery time depends on your country’s customs processing. Buyers are responsible for any applicable customs duties or import taxes.
