Power of Personalization: The love story of "Chip" Stickers Guitar
"I met Jon in the summer of 2003. The first day I met him he had Chip with him. In fact every time I hung out with him in the beginning of our relationship Chip was with him. Jon went to another place every single time he played. Music was his Heaven on earth. As like turned into love I began to leave my mark on Chip in the form of stickers. When I truly knew I loved Jon I started placing stickers on Chip while Jon played. The first was the tie-dyed heart. I can still remember the look on Jon's face. It was breathtaking. I knew he was in love too. Days turned to months. About 5 years into our relationship it was time to retire Chip. He had gotten old and the sound was just not the same anymore. Jon got a new guitar. Every time we looked at Chip we referred to him as "our love story". We could clearly remember the nights we spent together getting to know each other and falling deeper and deeper in love. 8 years later we were married. We always thought of Chip and had intended on having him framed and displayed on the wall as a testimony of our love for each other. When Jon tragically passed away at the age of 35, I wanted him to go off with music. He had 4 guitars in our home. 2 were guitars he played, 1 was our guestbook at our wedding and the other was "our love story". Our son did not want to part with the guitars that daddy played so...I sent Jon with Chip. I took lots of pictures of Chip. I was devastated. I then found Awesome Urns. They recreated Chip as an urn for my husband's remains. I truly can think of no better resting place for Jon than inside our love story. The urn is perfect. It is exquisite and precisely what I was looking for. I can never thank you enough for the sense of solace you have given me during this time of grief."

Power of Personalization: Burial Caket Urn for Papa Gene
Eugene Walton Forsythe
December 5, 1921 - September 15, 2019Today we laid our grandfather to rest. Eugene Walton Forsythe was granted a long life of 97 years. We were fortunate to care for him at home in his last days. He reunited with his love, Doris June, on September 15th...the day they would have celebrated 73 years of marriage. He was the last born of 13 children...a was proud and brave soldier...a strong, hardworking father...and a loving grandfather. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
We created this custom Casket urn with his beautiful, old-fashioned signature. His wish was to be cremated...my grandmother wished for him to have a casket and be buried. Today he was interred next to his beloved wife....so, that they both get their wishes.

Pre-need and a Work of Art...Cheers to another 40 years!
Upon ordering a Winged-Heart YURN, "Fierce Robin" wrote:
It isn't too often that we get an order for pre-need arrangements... so, it was a different kind of experience to connect with Robin regarding her memorial artwork...rather than a mournful event.
She had come across our YURN listing previously.... So, with an approaching heart surgery and the encouragement of her daughter, she decided to go ahead and purchase the urn she wanted for herself. And, Lord willing, she would would be able to enjoy the piece as a work of art in her home, for many years, until the time comes to utilize it as a functional cremation urn.
We love the thoughtfulness she put into her decision, for her daughter and her outlook regarding our "art". It's so touching to know that our art brings value and comfort to those grieving, and also to those who can enjoy them as artful home decor, prior to needing them for their intended purpose.
We enjoyed getting to know more about Robin through this experience. Her career in healthcare and God-centered passion for helping others, her love of traveling, and her overall fun personality and zeal for life.
While working on her piece, we were surprised to wake one morning to read the sweetest five-star review on our Etsy store.....we hadn't even completed or shipped her memorial yet, and still she gave us a glowing review! How awesome!
We completed Robin's Heart sculpture and she received it prior to her surgery.
We are happy to follow-up on the status of Robin's open-heart surgery...
She pulled through it like a champ! Now, she'll heal and prepare herself for a vacation to St. Lucia in April. :)
Live it up! With love! ~

The Power of Personalization: A Pine Cone for Will
Will was described as loving life and everything about it. His wife, Paula, wanted something related to nature to remember him...maybe a Pine Tree or nature scene? We suggested that a Pine Cone urn would be cool and she agreed.
They were married in Lake Tahoe and she saved a pine cone from their time spent there together. Following his passing, Paula returned to Lake Tahoe for some needed time and reflection. She took along Will's cremains and scattered a portion of the ashes there in remembrance of him and their union.
Pine trees hold a special place in our hearts too. We loved creating this piece to honor Will. We hope that it offers Paula, and their family, some comfort and beauty in their time of mourning and in the years ahead.
