"I met Jon in the summer of 2003. The first day I met him he had Chip with him. In fact every time I hung out with him in the beginning of our relationship Chip was with him. Jon went to another place every single time he played. Music was his Heaven on earth. As like turned into love I began to leave my mark on Chip in the form of stickers. When I truly knew I loved Jon I started placing stickers on Chip while Jon played. The first was the tie-dyed heart. I can still remember the look on Jon's face. It was breathtaking. I knew he was in love too. Days turned to months. About 5 years into our relationship it was time to retire Chip. He had gotten old and the sound was just not the same anymore. Jon got a new guitar. Every time we looked at Chip we referred to him as "our love story". We could clearly remember the nights we spent together getting to know each other and falling deeper and deeper in love. 8 years later we were married. We always thought of Chip and had intended on having him framed and displayed on the wall as a testimony of our love for each other. When Jon tragically passed away at the age of 35, I wanted him to go off with music. He had 4 guitars in our home. 2 were guitars he played, 1 was our guestbook at our wedding and the other was "our love story". Our son did not want to part with the guitars that daddy played so...I sent Jon with Chip. I took lots of pictures of Chip. I was devastated. I then found Awesome Urns. They recreated Chip as an urn for my husband's remains. I truly can think of no better resting place for Jon than inside our love story. The urn is perfect. It is exquisite and precisely what I was looking for. I can never thank you enough for the sense of solace you have given me during this time of grief."
In memory of a father who loved the play Cyrano de Bergerac. It is engraved with the Dad's signature and the Cyrano's famous last word, "Panache". Finished with fleur de lis hat pin accent and ostrich feather plume.
With grateful hearts, we feel so blessed to do what we do........
"This was so skillfully made. An amazing tribute to my Father in Law who passed recently. He would be so proud of the quality and craftsmanship that went into this piece. Thank you from our family for creating something so meaningful and letting us see the progress along the way."
We love the personalized touch selected for this Book (Bible) YURN. In his memory, a Blue Whale and StarTrek emblem were added the memorial, to represent his spirit animal and love for Sci-Fi.
Two additional keepsake urns, in the shape of the emblem, were created for his friends.
With heavy hearts, we created a tulip bouquet
urn for our sweet Aunt Gennie.
She was an Earth Angel who bravely fought
Parkinson's for over 25 years... without complaint, without self pity,
without a harsh word spoken. She grew beautiful gardens and amazing
children.
We'll miss her humble nature, her sweet giggle, her kind heart
and beautiful soul. Virginia Ruth you truly are one of God's most
precious.
A personalized spin on our Butterfly YURN...painted in an Ohio
mom's favorite colors, purple and lime green. Other sentimental touches
included engravings of a handwritten note from mom and bicycle graphic, both special memories
for her daughter.
We were contacted by Roger shortly after the unexpected passing of Lee. Separately and together, they wrote music and lyrics. He was looking for a special memorial that represented her lifelong love of music and singing.
To give us a connection to who Lee was, he emailed us some photos of her and some of their most recent songs.
Roger decided he would like a guitar urn modeled after the guitar she had played the last 10 years... her curvy Yamaha Compass cut-away.
Extra special and sentimental touches were added... a raised microphone adornment, engravings of song lyrics they wrote, and a love note in her handwriting. One song he sent with us was "Walk You Through", a song about losing a loved one. We shared with him this moment of engraving her handwritten inscription...
Prior to completing Lee's guitar, we received the most thoughtful package from Roger that included 5 CDs of their music <3 We deeply appreciated his sweet words and the kind gesture given to us, even in his time of grief.
His note enclosed read:
Hello Jamaica & Rob,
Please find a small token of appreciation from Lee and I for the kindness, the personal touch and the love you have provided. Such a rare commodity these days. Service. In the box are 3 early recordings of Lee, including her Canadian release. Also included are my only recordings with Lee helping, and Lee's last recording (solo that is), "Victory Dance". Hope you enjoy, Roger (& Lee)
We LOVED getting a chance to listen to a collection of Lee's music
dating back nearly 20 years. As well as, hearing Roger sing- we love
his folky, soft-rock style.
We were honored to create this piece in her memory, finding connection through her music, and offering Roger some comfort with a tribute handmade with love.
Becky purchased a guitar urn in memory of her son, Derek. We worked with her to place 6 different engravings she wanted included on his tribute....his signature, favorite quote and nicknames.
Upon seeing the model we would make for Derek, his father also wanted one for his home. With kindness, Becky decided to gift his father a guitar urn, and purchased a second memorial for him.
With a sweet gratitude, we loved working to create these special memorials for their son. We were truly humbled by Becky's thoughtfulness when she left us a glowing Etsy review...actually, prior to us completing the urns! We are forever touched by our experience with Derek's family and the opportunity to honor his beautiful life.
For an Australian family, who wanted a special blue butterfly urn to symbolize their dad.
They shared with us butterfly images they liked...including an image of a blue butterfly print that has hung in their home for years.
For their dad, an Interior Designer, they specifically wanted the piece to be a vibrant matte blue, and to include a special handwritten quote he had written to them.
We worked with them to create a design concept of the butterfly's shape and wing pattern.
This winged heart urn was handmade at half-depth to hold a smaller portion of ashes. It was created to honor a little boy who passed from this world too soon. Little Braxton and his family fought a hard fight during his two short years on Earth.
He was afflicted with the condition known as Menkes Disease. It is caused by mutations in the
copper transport gene, which is responsible for making a protein
that is important for regulating the copper levels in the body. Primarily affecting baby boys, Menkes syndrome is terminal within the first few years of life, and currently there is no cure.
We pray that Braxton's family finds comfort and peace as they honor his spirit and mourn the loss of their little one.
