Good Grief — Why thank you, Google!

Recently, we got an unexpected compliment from Google: our Catfish urn listing was flagged for “Sale of Live Animals.” Apparently, the image of our ceramic urn was so lifelike that it fooled Google’s review system! While the mix-up made us laugh, it also speaks to the level of detail and realism we strive for in our artisan urns.

When Google thought our urn was alive, it underscored something we already believe deeply: an urn doesn’t have to look like an urn to honor a life.

At MorzArt, our goal is for our memorial sculptures to move beyond the ordinary. We design artistic urns for ashes that don’t just hold remains—they reflect the life, passion, and character of the person they memorialize. When an urn looks convincingly lifelike, that tells us we’ve hit the mark on authenticity.

If you're looking for unique cremation urns or custom urn sculptures with intricate design, you’ll find them in our gallery. Each piece is handcrafted, often themed (like our catfish urns), using clay, paints, and finishes that push the boundary between art and memorial.

Thanks, Google (kind of)—you just reminded us that our urns aren’t “just urns.” They’re works of art that live in people’s homes and hearts.

If you’re drawn to realistic, meaningful, one-of-a-kind urns, explore our gallery or reach out. We’d love to help craft a memorial that truly reflects a life.

Power of Personalization: Custom Urns, Unique like your Beloved

When an urn becomes a work of art, it transforms from container to tribute. At MorzArt, we create unique cremation urns that honor identity, not just memorialize remains.

For every commission, we begin with the stories, passions, and objects that meant the most. From a worn baseball cap, to a beloved acoustic guitar, we sculpt custom urn sculptures modeled after elements of your loved one’s life. These are artistic urns for ashes that tell their story at a glance.

Take these recent memorials as an invitation to imagine a unique memorial for your loved one:

If you’re drawn to something beyond the ordinary, we’d love to explore a custom piece with you. Share photos, model numbers, sketches, or stories. We’ll design a memorial that is uniquely theirs—and uniquely yours.

Power of Personalization: Custom Guitar Urns That Don’t Look Like Urns

We craft unique cremation urns modeled after your loved one’s instrument—custom, personal, and beautiful. Each handmade memorial urn starts with clay, gets sculpted in our Texas studio, fired to ceramic, and finished with the detail and care of true artistry.

Here are some recent custom guitar urns we’ve brought to life: a green striped PRS electric, a gold-top Gibson Les Paul, a cream Fender Stratocaster, and a white Bret Michaels Z Dean (with Bret’s signature). Each design is more than homage—it’s a reflection of personality, passion, and life.

Why settle for ordinary when you can have an urn that’s an artistic urn for ashes, something distinct and meaningful? Our guitars don’t just resemble the instrument—they feel like it, through shape, color, and finish.

Planning your custom urn is easy: you supply photos or model details, choose personal engravings (name, dates, signature, lyrics, epitaph), and we sculpt and finish it hand-by-hand. You end with a one-of-a-kind urn that doesn’t look like an urn—and honors your loved one in a deeply personal way.

Explore more in our gallery of one-of-a-kind guitar designs, or contact us to begin designing your own custom urn sculpture today. Let’s create something truly yours.

Power of Personalization: The love story of "Chip" Stickers Guitar

"I met Jon in the summer of 2003.  The first day I met him he had Chip with him.  In fact every time I hung out with him in the beginning of our relationship Chip was with him.  Jon went to another place every single time he played.  Music was his Heaven on earth.  As like turned into love I began to leave my mark on Chip in the form of stickers.  When I truly knew I loved Jon I started placing stickers on Chip while Jon played.  The first was the tie-dyed heart.  I can still remember the look on Jon's face.  It was breathtaking.  I knew he was in love too.  Days turned to months.  About 5 years into our relationship it was time to retire Chip.  He had gotten old and the sound was just not the same anymore.  Jon got a new guitar.  Every time we looked at Chip we referred to him as "our love story".  We could clearly remember the nights we spent together getting to know each other and falling deeper and deeper in love.  8 years later we were married.  We always thought of Chip and had intended on having him framed and displayed on the wall as a testimony of our love for each other.  When Jon tragically passed away at the age of 35, I wanted him to go off with music.  He had 4 guitars in our home.  2 were guitars he played, 1 was our guestbook at our wedding and the other was "our love story".  Our son did not want to part with the guitars that daddy played so...I sent Jon with Chip.  I took lots of pictures of Chip.  I was devastated.  I then found Awesome Urns.  They recreated Chip as an urn for my husband's remains.  I truly can think of no better resting place for Jon than inside our love story.  The urn is perfect.  It is exquisite and precisely what I was looking for.  I can never thank you enough for the sense of solace you have given me during this time of grief."

Power of Personalization: Cigar Box Guitar

"Rusty Hubcap" Michael crafted Cigar Box Guitars.  His wife sent us a photo of one of his favorite pieces.  Based off the photo, we recreated this piece in his memory.  The unique soundplate was a challenging and cool element that made his memorial urn truly one-of-a-kind.
